Our Expertise

ABES has a vast experience of project planning, field implementation, monitoring, capacity building, teacher training, material development related to ECE, primary formal and non-formal education, adult literacy (functional), teaching of core subjects including Math, English, Urdu etc. Material development is at the core of all the trainings including teaching kits in order to accelerate learning within classrooms.

Teachers Training

Making teachers aware of child rights opened doors for them to learn about Multiple Intelligences in every child

Health and Hygiene

ABES made efforts during restoration of livelihood in flood affected areas of Mianwali in collaboration with NRC & Tearfund UK. Moreover, an Emergency Relief Project for the flood victims was put to action in collaboration with Tearfund UK

Livelihood

ABES through these projects aim to socially and economically empower the 52% neglected group of society that are women. Illiterate women will be given a chance to learn functional literacy (reading, writing, arithmetic skills and micro enterprise) in addition to skills training which will help them implement small businesses and help their male counterparts in family income.

Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR)

ABES collaborated with UNICEF to develop a Teachers Training Guide on DRR and School Safety to promote a “Culture of Safety”. This manual provides a set of simple instructions and functional tools to help teachers educate students in dealing with natural disasters and school emergencies.

Multi-grade Teaching (MGT)

The fruitfulness of the concept of Multi-grade teaching is beyond measures. ABES started working on MGT teaching in 1994, developed training manuals, training charts, and developed special MGT Teaching Kits. Besides, organized 202 workshops and trained 3590 teachers.

Early Childhood Education

Early Childhood Programs encourage exploration and discovery of activities for physical, cognitive, language, social and emotional skills, nurturing children to grow up as healthy, happy, capable young people. We organized 41 workshops, established 152 ECE centers in AJK and trained 803 teachers.

Training on subjects of English, Math, Science (MGT &CFS)

ABES held Subject Based Training, developed hand books for teachers, and produced videos on the subjects of English Phonics, Urdu Teaching, Math and Science Teaching. Lesson delivery in classroom. We organized 260 workshops and trained 9,819 teachers.

Children Friendly Schools (CFSs)

ABES started working on Child Friendly Schools in 2000. Together with Ms. Wendy Griffin developed training package, special CFS Teaching Kit, worked in 360 schools of AJK, organized 399 workshops, trained 12,074 teachers.
